Old buildings have a way of hiding problems behind walls and ceilings. Asbestos ductwork is one of those problems nobody wants to deal with - but ignoring it is not an option. When we got the call on this one, the existing duct system had to come out completely before anything else could move forward.

Getting rid of asbestos duct is not a DIY situation. It has to be handled and disposed of properly, full stop. Once that old material was cleared out, we had a clean slate to work with. That is exactly where the real work begins.

We ran all new flex tubing throughout the space - both the standard silver insulated flex and the black R-4.2 insulated flex you can see running across the ceiling. Flex duct gets a bad reputation sometimes, but when it is installed correctly and sized right, it performs well and adapts easily to the kinds of awkward runs you run into in older basement spaces like this one. We also cut in a new floor register, giving this area a proper supply vent where there was not one before.

We handle all of it - ductwork, furnace replacement, AC installs, refrigeration work, commercial and residential. Whatever the system, whatever the building, we have the experience to get it done right.
